What Really Happens In Vegas

My wedding was in two days and I had nothing but stress on my mind. With the thought of the future, more bills, and more troubles, I really needed to get away for a night. I had talked to my brother Brian about it and he came up with the idea to take a trip for a bachelors’ party. We were not sure where to go until it hit me. Why not spend the last day of freedom in the city of sin, Las Vegas. It was the city to relieve my worries and give me my last night of one hundred percent guilt free freedom. Without hesitating, we called a few friends and explained to them what we were going to do. After everybody had agreed, we decided to pack our stuff that night and book a red eye flight. After arriving at the airport and checking in we discovered that the four coach class tickets that we had bought had already been taken. As we all stood around thinking that are plans were ruined, the airline bumped us to first class. We could already tell that this was going to be a great bachelor party.
An hour and a half and many free drinks later, we arrived at the wonderful Las Vegas, Nevada. We were so excited, we were about to piss ourselves with enthusiasm with not knowing what to do after we checked into the hotel. As we all caught cabs to the hotel we admired all of the lights of this beautiful city. There were casinos and strip bars everywhere. We could tell this was going to be one hell of a trip. We all pondered of how the night would turn out. We pulled up to one of the most amazing hotels we had ever seen. It was the Palms Hotel and Casino. Just walking in and being greeted by management, we felt like we were the kings of the world. We walked up to the counter to check in, admiring the 23 year old bartender in the lobby. I noticed her out of the corner of my eye. As I turned to take another glance of her walking away, I noticed her even bigger and much older fiancĂ©. Deciding whether or not that is a mistake I need to make, We decided to go ahead and check in and take our things to our room so that we could get ready for the night. We walked in and noticed the huge penthouse suite. Staring in amazement, we decided that this called for a shot of tequila. Brian proposed a toast, ” Here is to the rest of your life. It is the end as you know it.” Thinking he had said all he wanted to say, he yelled out, ” What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas.”
We all got ready and headed out for a night on the town. Dressed like we were meant to kill, we headed out for our first stop. The blackjack table was calling our names as we entered the hotels casino. None of us had ever played these games before but we did not care at all. We were just here to have fun. Starting in the games with sixteen hundred dollars, we were determined to at least break even. We played blackjack and slot machines for hours. When it was finally time to cash in our chips we knew we were in for a surprise. As we were talking amongst ourselves, the attendant behind the counter slid us five grand cash. All of us were so excited. As long as we came home with the sixteen hundred dollars we started with, none of our wives would know what we did with the rest. So what better way to spend the extra cash than stripers and liquor. Our next stop would be one of the most risky moves any of us had ever made. We called a cab and drove around for a while trying to find the perfect titty bar. After about half of an hour of riding around trying to make our decision, there it was. The Sapphire Gentlemen’ Club. We were all dead set on getting plastered and having a great time that none of us could remember. Tequila shot after tequila shot our memory was fading just as were the stripers clothes. We were like kids in a candy store. After one more shot close to alcohol poisoning and the majority of the money spent, we decided that we needed to call it a night.
We woke up in the morning with what seemed like road construction in our heads. We all had the worst hangovers of our lives. Hardly remembering anything that had happened the night before, we all just looked at each other laughing. We all knew the trouble we would get into if any of our significant others found out about the night we had. We all looked at our phones to see many missed calls and text messages. We made it a pact that none of us would ever speak of this night ever again. We decided that it was best for us to pack our things and head back home.
Upon our arrival home, we all had angry women staring at us. The look in their eyes made us realize how bad that they wanted to kill us. We all were looking at hours of arguing, crying, and fighting. The trip was worth all of that plus more. We had the best bachelor party of our life. We never told our wives anything. The wedding and the honeymoon were both fantastic. Months went by and it seemed like everything was perfect. I had the perfect wife, the perfect house, and the perfect job, nothing could go wrong. Two weeks after our fifth month of being married my wife brought a piece of paper with a phone number. She told me that whoever it was that called me said that it was urgent. I picked up the phone, dialed the number, and waited patiently to see who could be at the other end of the line. A young woman answered the phone. She said her name was Autumn Star Brooks and that I had met her when I was at the Palms. My eyes were about to pop out of my head. I remembered exactly who this woman was. She was the bartender from the lobby at our hotel in Las Vegas. I questioned why she had called me and how she even had my number. I talked to her for a few minutes and knew that something was wrong. Apparently I did have too much fun while i was in Vegas. I knew now why they call it “Sin City.” She told me that she was having a little girl. How was I going to explain this to my wife? I had no idea how to handle this situation. Discretely I told her my address so that she could send me paperwork on child support. We discussed how we would handle this situation for a few short minutes. Hanging up the phone I knew exactly what was going to happen. I turned around slowly and noticed that my wife had the other phone on in her hand. Things were thrown and marriage licenses annulled. How one night can haunt you for the rest of your life I will never know. I do know one thing, what happens in Vegas, does not always stay in Vegas.
